Job Role

The Service Technician Wind Turbine will be responsible for maintaining and servicing wind turbines to ensure safe reliable and efficient operation.

The role involves periodic inspections electrical and mechanical troubleshooting hydraulic component replacement turbine maintenance and technical repairs in accordance with established service procedures and safety standards.

You will work closely with field technicians customers and internal stakeholders to complete scheduled maintenance and repair activities while ensuring turbines operate at optimal performance.

The position requires strong technical capabilities physical readiness to work at height and a high level of commitment to health safety and environmental standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform periodic service inspections and maintenance of wind turbines in accordance with established technical specifications and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and replace electrical mechanical and hydraulic components as required.
  • Identify technical issues and perform corrective maintenance to ensure reliable turbine operation.
  • Monitor turbine condition and support the use of condition monitoring and remote-control systems.
  • Assemble and install components and major turbine components according to applicable work instructions and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate the use of internal or external cranes and lifting equipment when required.
  • Maintain service vehicles tools equipment and spare parts to ensure operational readiness.
  • Order and manage required materials tools and spare parts in coordination with the relevant teams.
  • Communicate with customers regarding completed maintenance activities repairs and upcoming service work.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and report technical findings and completed activities.
  • Follow all applicable health safety environmental and quality requirements.
  • Work efficiently as part of a field-based technical team and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Travel to other wind turbine sites when required.


Candidate Requirements

  • Technical education or vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering Automation Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Relevant experience in electromechanical maintenance is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the wind energy industry or wind turbine maintenance is an advantage.
  • Practical knowledge of electrical mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting component replacement and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Greek language proficiency is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to health safety and environmental standards.
  • Physically capable of climbing wind turbines and performing demanding technical work at height.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions and outdoor environments.
  • Willingness to travel to other service sites when required.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Solutions-oriented organized and able to work independently in the field.
  • Able to communicate professionally with customers technicians and other stakeholders.
