Within this framework we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Group Controller to join our organization and drive financial strategy and performance.
The Role:
The Group Controller will play a pivotal role in strengthening the Groups financial governance enhancing financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making across the parent company and its subsidiaries.
This role reports to the Group CFO and acts as a trusted business partner to senior management providing independent financial challenge and insight to support decision-making. Working closely with subsidiary finance teams the Project Management Office (PMO) and operational management. The role ensures the integrity of financial performance information identifies risks and opportunities and drives continuous improvement across the Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with senior management subsidiary leaders and external stakeholders to deliver financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
- Act as a strategic business partner challenging and influencing business partners to drive financial performance and objectives.
- Lead the monthly financial performance review process with subsidiary management teams promoting accountability and driving operational and financial improvements.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate financial performance and provide insights for decision-making.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and provide regular forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Review challenge and analyze monthly financial performance identifying key trends variances risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Perform detailed analysis of profitability margins cost performance working capital cash flow and return on investment.
- Work collaboratively with the PMO to monitor project financial performance including budgets forecasts project profitability cost control cash flow contract performance and project risks.
- Participate in project review meetings providing financial insight and constructive challenge to improve project outcomes and commercial performance.
- Support business units and subsidiary management in evaluating investment proposals business cases and strategic initiatives.
- Identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions to improve business performance and financial sustainability.
- Drive initiatives to optimize financial processes promote best practices and facilitate organizational change.
Requirements
- Progressive experience in financial management with at least 5 years in a senior role at group level or within a large organization. Experience in financial control business controlling performance management and financial analysis within a multi-entity or international organization is essential.
- Masters Degree or MBA along with Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field. CFA CMA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Expertise in financial systems particularly SAP Business Intelligence automations and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated experience in managing change within a complex organizational structure.
- Proven experience in managing and developing high-performing teams with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders challenge financial performance constructively and translate financial information into meaningful business insights.
