Associate Director Product Management COA Accelerator (COAA)

Position Summary

The Associate Director Product Management COA Accelerator (COAA) is responsible for defining and executing the strategic vision roadmap governance and growth of the COAA platform. COAA serves as IQVIAs enterprise platform for managing Clinical Outcome Assessment (COA) instrument data and metadata orchestrating workflows for content acquisition licensing review publishing and service request fulfillment.

The platform supports multiple products and services and serves as the foundation for future innovation across IQVIAs COA ecosystem. This role leads the platform strategy while coordinating Product Owners Engineering Operations Scientific Services Commercial teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment scalability interoperability and delivery of business value.

The Associate Director is accountable for balancing customer needs business priorities operational efficiency technology investments and market opportunities while advancing IQVIAs leadership position in Clinical Outcome Assessments and related healthcare data solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Platform Strategy and Leadership

  • Define communicate and execute the strategic vision for the COAA platform and its associated product portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year platform roadmap aligned with business objectives customer needs and industry trends.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for new platform capabilities products and services.
  • Lead product discovery and strategic planning activities to support growth and innovation.
  • Establish platform investment priorities and make recommendations regarding product direction funding and resource allocation.

Portfolio Governance

  • Provide leadership and governance across all products operating on the COAA platform.
  • Coordinate activities and priorities across Product Owners and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure platform and product roadmaps are aligned and support a unified business strategy.
  • Balance strategic initiatives customer commitments operational requirements and technical debt.

Business and Stakeholder Leadership

  • Partner with executive leadership to define platform objectives and long-term business strategies.
  • Serve as the primary business owner for the COAA platform.
  • Build strong partnerships across Product Engineering Scientific Services Commercial Operations Legal Compliance and other stakeholder groups.
  • Influence decisions across organizational boundaries without direct authority.

Product and Platform Delivery

  • Ensure successful execution of platform initiatives from concept through implementation and adoption.
  • Guide product teams in applying product management best practices and Agile methodologies.
  • Partner with Engineering leadership to ensure platform scalability reliability and maintainability.
  • Establish governance processes for product requirements prioritization and release management.
  • Monitor business outcomes and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Data Strategy and Interoperability

  • Lead platform strategy related to data governance metadata management and interoperability.
  • Promote standardization and consistency across products workflows and data assets.
  • Support implementation of industry standards and frameworks relevant to healthcare and clinical research.
  • Ensure platform architecture enables future integrations ecosystem expansion and emerging technology opportunities.

Organizational Leadership

  • Provide leadership coaching and mentoring to Product Owners and product management team members.
  • Foster a culture of innovation accountability customer focus and continuous improvement.
  • Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across functional teams.
  • Drive adoption of product management disciplines and best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Healthcare Life Sciences Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
  • 5 years of Product Management experience.
  • Experience in healthcare life sciences clinical research healthcare technology or clinical trial software.
  • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise platforms or complex multi-product portfolios.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving multiple business and technical teams.
  • Experience with Clinical Outcome Assessments (COAs) eCOAs patient-centered research or clinical research technologies.
