Job Title: Event Engagement Associate Reports To: Senior Director of Community Engagement & Outreach Position Summary The Event Engagement Associate provides critical administrative and logistical support for CJP’s community engagement initiatives. This role is hands-on, working with events and behind-the-scenes systems to ensure smooth execution, strong participant experiences, and accurate follow-through. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and excited to grow in nonprofit event planning and community engagement. Key Responsibilities Event & Program Support * Manage event logistics: venue coordination, catering, supplies, volunteer support, check-in, and participant engagement. * Build and manage event registration pages (RegFox/Webconnex) and track RSVPs. * Prepare materials (name tags, reports, giveaways, signage, etc.) and maintain event checklists and timelines. * Provide on-site event support: setup, registration, troubleshooting, and follow-up for all engagement programming * Represent CJP at community programs in a professional and welcoming way, supporting staff presence at larger events and serving as the primary representative at select young adult gatherings. Administrative & Operational Support * Maintain accurate participant records in CRM systems (Blackbaud and Dynamics). * Update contact information, set up new profiles, and run reports as needed. * Assist with event budgets, invoice tracking, and purchase orders. * Support evaluation efforts by tracking attendance and collecting feedback. Communications Support * Assist with event-related communications such as invitations, reminders, newsletters, and follow-up notes. * Support social media content creation for events and engagement initiatives. * Help ensure consistent and accurate messaging across platforms. Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree required. * 1–3 years of professional experience in event coordination, program support, or related fields. * Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. * Strong working knowledge of Canva design * Clear and professional communication skills, both written and oral. * Comfort with Microsoft Office and event registration systems (e.g., RegFox/Webconnex); experience with Dynamics or Blackbaud a plus. * Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively. * Evening and weekend events are part of the role. * Jewish community life and familiarity with Jewish culture a plus. * Familiarity with the Phoenix Jewish Community Salary and Benefits * Salary range: $50,000–$60,000, commensurate with experience * Benefit information will be made available during the interview process.
