Job Summary

Our client a leading global specialised chemical manufacturer is seeking Site Interns (NSPs) to join their team. Reporting to the Site Supervisor you will be responsible for providing both administrative and technical support to the site clients or the internal team by helping with basic technical assistance such as setting up and cleaning of equipment setting parameters checking doses and overseeing processes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct basic installation calibration and maintenance of dosing equipment.
  • Monitor target consumption for all chemicals.
  • Report possible technical issues on cleaning to the operator/ line manager/ Site Coordinator.
  • Check product concentrations and performance control by application (limited to only line check and efficacy check and shall not interfere with or negatively impact in any way the performance of EBI or Tunnel Pasteurizer performance).
  • Measure and check water consumption and dosage (titrations dosage rate of all chemicals and quantity consumed daily should not exceed the recommended consumption ratio).
  • Stock control and ordering (alert).
  • Ensure the availability of every chemical on site (at points of use).
  • Share any issues and any observations of possible impact on chemical consumption.
  • Conduct consumption and stocks analysis with Site Coordinator.
  • Filling of consumption tracker for each application on all chemical consumption (caustic bottle washer additive pasteurizer additives acid cleaning tank and sterile lubricant)
  • Record technical incidents and help diagnose and resolve basic technical problems.
  • Maintain a good communication interface with all Diageo site personnel
  • Deliver basic training appropriate to the operators.



Requirements
  • Must have at least a BSc in Chemical or Electrical Engineering or other related discipline.
  • Experience in a start-up or pilot production environment is a plus.
  • Possess good motor skills and the ability to do fine assembly.
  • Ability to check for defects and identify and distinguish between colors.
  • Possess excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical data.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and under supervision.
  • Proficiency with basic computer programs including MS Office and database systems.
