NAYA By Africa is looking for a Production Manager to lead and restructure our manufacturing function - production planning output cost people capacity and continuous improvement. Youll build a manufacturing environment capable of scaling with the companys growth ensuring products are made safely consistently and to approved formulas and quality standards.
Own production output efficiency yield waste and manufacturing cost
Monitor performance against plan and lead corrective/continuous-improvement actions
Lead coach and develop the Production Supervisor specialists and production employees
Ensure production SOPs and formulas are followed and batch records are accurate
Work closely with QA on quality/hygiene compliance and deviation escalation
- Coordinate equipment use and maintenance needs with Operations
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Chemistry Biochemistry Operations or related discipline
Minimum 5 years relevant manufacturing experience including team leadership
Experience in cosmetics personal care FMCG food or pharmaceuticals preferred
Strong production planning process improvement cost-control and people-management skills
Required Skills:
Requirements Bachelors degree in Chemistry Biochemistry Laboratory Technology Cosmetic Science Chemical Engineering Food Science Pharmacy or related discipline 23 years relevant QC or laboratory experience preferred Experience in cosmetics personal care food pharmaceuticals or manufacturing is an advantage Strong numerical accuracy observation and documentation skills; working knowledge of GMP desirable Key Skills & Competencies Accuracy and attention to detail Technical observation Testing and sampling discipline Documentation Integrity Organization Problem escalation Consistency Quality mindset Ability to work closely with Production while remaining objective
