Our client is one of the leading construction engineering firms in Ghana specialising in large-scale civil engineering projects and renowned for delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions.


Your Role as a Procurement and Supply Chain Analyst:


The Procurement and Supply Chain Analyst will primarily be responsible for providing day-to-day oversight of the procurement process ensuring that requests approvals sourcing activities purchases deliveries and warehouse receipts are monitored and progressing efficiently. The role serves as the primary point of contact for procurement-related follow-ups identifying and escalating issues requiring management attention while supporting operational effectiveness across the procurement function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily procurement activities from request initiation through to delivery and warehouse receipt.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry across all stages of the procurement process including verification of requests purchases deliveries and receipts.
  • Review procurement activities to ensure competitive sourcing practices and flag irregularities.
  • Identify bottlenecks and follow up on delays process gaps and outstanding procurement issues with responsible individuals.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the Director of Procurement with clear summaries and recommended actions.
  • Act as the first point of contact for procurement-related queries and follow-ups from internal departments and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with procurement officers warehouse staff and project teams to resolve issues and maintain efficient workflows.
  • Visit warehouses project sites or supplier locations where necessary to verify information and resolve discrepancies.
  • Liaise with overseas suppliers to obtain quotations coordinate documentation and track orders.
  • Monitor import shipments and coordinate with relevant parties to ensure timely delivery.
  • Ensure all imported items are properly documented received and recorded upon arrival.
  • Prepare payment requests with complete supporting documentation for Director review and approval.
  • Maintain accurate records of all import orders including supplier details order status payments and delivery outcomes.
  • Prepare concise weekly reports covering open requisitions exceptions compliance import pipeline status and key decisions required.
  • Analyse procurement data including supplier performance and pricing comparisons to identify trends opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Recommend improvements to procurement processes and systems to enhance efficiency.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a related field.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems ERP tools or import and logistics processes is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook).
