Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking to recruit a Cash Van Sales Supervisor to plan coordinate and supervise daily cash van sales operations within an assigned territory. The Cash Van Sales Supervisor will lead field sales representatives drive sales and distribution growth manage customer relationships optimize routes ensure proper cash and inventory accountability and expand market coverage while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve monthly quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Monitor daily sales performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Drive sales volume revenue growth product penetration and distribution within the assigned territory.
- Plan and optimize cash van routes to improve sales productivity and market coverage.
- Identify opportunities for route expansion and new market penetration.
- Build and maintain relationships with wholesalers retailers and other trade customers.
- Identify and onboard new customers while supporting customer retention.
- Address customer complaints and resolve service-related issues promptly.
- Supervise coach and motivate Cash Van Sales Representatives to achieve individual and team targets.
- Conduct field visits to monitor performance and provide on-the-job coaching.
- Set performance expectations and conduct periodic performance reviews.
- Ensure proper handling collection reconciliation and banking of cash received from sales.
- Investigate and report cash discrepancies or irregularities.
- Ensure adequate stock loading for daily sales operations.
- Monitor stock movement and minimize product losses damages and expiries.
- Conduct stock reconciliation and investigate stock variances.
- Monitor competitor activities pricing promotions and product offerings.
- Gather market intelligence and identify new market opportunities.
- Ensure products are properly displayed and merchandised at customer outlets.
- Support promotional activities trade activations and brand-building initiatives.
- Prepare daily weekly and monthly sales and operational reports.
- Maintain accurate customer route sales and inventory records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies sales procedures financial controls and safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Marketing Sales Business Administration Commerce or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 35 years experience in FMCG sales and distribution.
- At least 2 years experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience achieving sales targets and managing field sales teams.
- Practical experience managing cash van sales operations is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of FMCG distribution and route-to-market strategies.
- Strong sales negotiation and customer relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management stock control cash handling and reconciliation.
- Strong market analysis and sales reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience with sales reporting systems or ERP applications is an advantage.
- Strong leadership coaching communication planning and organizational skills.
- Results-driven commercially minded proactive and customer-focused.
- Ability to work under pressure and travel frequently across the assigned sales territory.
Required Skills:
Qualifications Bachelors degree or Diploma in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field. Minimum of 35 years experience in logistics fleet coordination or transport management. Experience managing both internal fleet operations and third-party transporters. Strong knowledge of transport documentation and dispatch procedures. Strong planning coordination record-keeping and documentation skills. Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Effective communication and supervision skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery deadlines. Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance processes. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
