Working Student (mfd) Sustainability Management

Join our Adsorbents & Additives (A&A) Sustainability Transformation team and actively contribute to our sustainability agenda from tracking our carbon footprint to supporting strategic sustainability initiatives across the business unit.

For our A&A team in Munich Germany we are looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) - Sustainability Management.

The position is temporary (9 - 12 months) and will be part-time (15-20 hours/week). The ideal start date is November 1 2026.

Responsibilities

• Support sustainability data collection and analysis contributing to strengthening the sustainability aspects of our value propositions and to fulfilling reporting requirements
• Assist in performing Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and Product Carbon Footprints (PCF) across our Adsorbents & Additives portfolio supporting key customer requests and internal product sustainability analysis
• Help prepare internal and external sustainability communications presentations trainings and customer questionnaires
• conduct research and support monitoring relevant sustainability regulations and trends that affect the Adsorbents & Additives portfolio and help identify best practices to inform decision-making
• Support ongoing carbon emission reduction projects (focus on Scope 3) in line with the BUs strategic direction and commitments
• Contribute to the sustainability assessment of products using Clariants Portfolio Value Program helping evaluate and communicate sustainability performance across the BUs product range

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Masters program in Environmental Science Sustainability Chemistry Chemical Engineering or Business Administration with a sustainability focus
• Strong analytical mindset - ability to structure complex information draw insights and translate data into clear recommendations
• Excellent presentation skills - proficient in PowerPoint; able to craft compelling narratives for senior stakeholders
• Clear and confident communicator - both written and verbal (in English additional languages are an asset); comfortable working in an international environment
• Proactive organized independent and detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
• Solid knowledge of sustainability topics - familiar with ESG frameworks climate-related reporting (e.g. CSRD TCFD) carbon footprinting (PCF & CCF) LCA or circular economy concepts
