Your area of work
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) area is at the heart of the Information Technology division of Deutsche Börse Group. The CTO area develops and operates the group-wide IT infrastructure (network data centers and cloud) the Group Data & Advanced Analytics and the Enterprise Architecture which significantly contribute to Deutsche Börse Group overall strategy. The CTO area drives digital transformation and leverages innovation while keeping production operations stable are the core pillars of the shared services.
We are looking for a motivated and creative working student or intern in the area of infrastructure and DevOps to join our this role you will primarily support the infrastructure and operational aspects of our Marketplace application and contribute to security related activities including the handling of VMT Jira and similar tickets. You will work closely with our DevOps and security teams to support application operations monitoring and the timely resolution of security related findings.
Your responsibilities:
- You will ensure the smooth operation of our applications across development test simulation and production environments
- You will support the creation and maintenance of infrastructure to meet new requirements
- You will assist with running and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- You will support the deployment of applications to higher environments and monitor applications on a regular basis and handle business support requests
- You will review security related tickets for the platform and take appropriate action while also collaborating with other DevOps colleagues to resolve security related tickets
- You will collaborate with product managers and developers to translate requirements into engaging UI designs
- You will ensure consistency with design guidelines and maintain a high standard of usability
- You will support incident management activities to ensure optimal production environment uptime in coordination with the team
- You will take ownership of process documentation and ensure it is up to date and ready for use
Your profile:
- You are currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science Information Technology Software Engineering or a comparable field
- You have solid knowledge of cloud platforms ideally Google Cloud Platform and good understanding of DevOps tools such as Docker Kubernetes Terraform or similar technologies
- You already gained some experience using GitHub for source code management and documentation of user guideline
- You show knowledge of creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- You are familiar with ITIL processes as well as a good understanding of DevOps principles
- You have made your first practical experience in the area of IT security for example through internships or comparable hands on exposure
- You have knowledge of vulnerability management and experience working with Jira tickets and have previous experience in handling production support requests
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English is required German is a plus
