eBays Collectibles organization is one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving areas of the business connecting hard-working communities of buyers and sellers across categories including trading cards arts & antiques coins and collectible toys.
As a Working Student in Category Management & Trading you will support the team in driving commercial performance seller engagement and campaign execution across key Collectibles categories. This role offers hands-on experience in category management from analyzing performance and identifying growth opportunities to supporting trading plans seller activations and promotional campaigns.
You will work closely with Category Managers and cross-functional partners across seller-facing teams marketing merchandising and finance to help translate business priorities into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
- Support the development and maintenance of trading plans including key commercial events seasonal priorities and category growth initiatives.
- Chip in to weekly and monthly trading reviews by preparing performance insights updates and action trackers that support business decision-making.
- Identify seller and inventory opportunities that help improve category performance and support key trading moments.
- Analyze category performance customer behavior market trends and driven activity to uncover growth opportunities.
- Compose reports presentations and data-driven insights to support collaborator discussions and commercial planning.
- Assist in identifying gaps in supply selection and seller coverage and support initiatives to strengthen category competitiveness.
- Coordinate seller engagement activities including campaign planning seller communications event preparation and follow-up actions while supporting broader category management and growth projects.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree program or having equivalent experience ideally in Business Economics Marketing E-commerce or a related field.
- Strong interest in e-commerce online marketplaces category management commercial strategy and seller engagement.
- Analytical approach with the ability to interpret data identify trends and generate actionable insights.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and support projects from planning through execution.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and collaborators.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data analysis tools is an advantage.
- Fluency in English. German is a big plus.
