Working Student – CFD Application Engineer (mfd)
Job Summary
From day one youll work closely with our Customer Success and Sales Engineering teams applying your engineering skills to meaningful projects and helping shape how our product is used in practice. As you grow into the role youll take on increasing ownership build deep expertise in simulation and contribute to solving problems that matter to our customers.
Were looking for someone whos curious hands-on and excited to return youll gain exposure to cutting-edge engineering applications work alongside experienced colleagues and have the opportunity to turn the role into a thesis project and ultimately a full-time position at Dive.
- Translate engineering problems into simulation models using Dive CAE
- Set up run and post-process CFD and/or conjugate heat transfer simulations
- Evaluate simulation results for physical plausibility and numerical robustness
- Support customer cases proofs of concept and internal simulation activities
- Document workflows tutorials and best practices in our knowledge base
- Support technical questions around simulation setup and result interpretation
- Help in setup automation via Python scripting
- Over time contribute to AI-supported engineering workflows
- You are studying Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Physics Applied Mathematics or a related field
- You have a solid foundation in CFD fluid mechanics heat transfer or numerical methods through your studies projects or previous work
- You have some hands-on simulation experience
- You are interested in scripting automation and modern simulation workflows
- You communicate clearly and are comfortable working in English and German
- Nice to have: experience with CHT CAD Python/MATLAB or ParaView turbulence modelling
