In the Application and System Engineering Group we develop innovative software for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and digitlization initivates within the institute. You will be contributing to the european pilot line for advanced packaging and heterogeneous integration APECS project. in this role you will:
- Develop and maintain software components for AI and data-driven applications
- Design and improve data pipelines processing workflows and data management solutions
- Support the preparation organization and quality assurance of datasets used for AI systems
- Contribute to the development of knowledge organization frameworks including taxonomies ontologies and related data models where applicable
- Assist in AI model evaluation experimentation and deployment activities
- Collaborate within an Agile development environment using modern software engineering practices
- Create and maintain technical documentation to support development and knowledge sharing
- You are a motivated student pursuing a degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Artificial Intelligence Data Science or a related technical field
- Programming experience in Python and/or other modern programming languages
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices and version control systems
- Understanding of ML gen-AI or data-driven systems
- Experience working with datasets data preparation data quality or data engineering concepts
- Interest in knowledge representation semantic technologies ontologies or knowledge graphs
- Familiarity with Linux Git virtual environments and containerization technologies

We will agree your start date and weekly working hours with you individually (as a working student 20hours per week or for an internship at least three months) . You can reduce your hours before exams and increase them during semester breaks. You can set your working days flexibly. After your studies there are attractive opportunities to join the institute on a full-time or part-time basis. You can flexibly determine the working days of your fixed-term employment contract.
