UXUI Design Intern (Mandatory Internship, Unpaid) AI SaaS startup

Product: Occibo is an AI-powered self-service SaaS platform that helps solo childrens book creators turn manuscripts into print-ready books through guided editing instant illustrations and production-safe layouts.

Role: We are looking for a creative and motivated UX/UI Design Intern for a mandatory internship / Pflichtpraktikum. You will help design a clean intuitive and high-conversion web app for authors illustrators and childrens book creators.

You will work closely with software engineers on user flows wireframes prototypes UI components usability testing and product design improvements.

Youll help with:

• Designing UX/UI for an AI-powered web SaaS product
• Creating wireframes mockups prototypes and UI assets
• Improving user flows for editing illustration layout and book production
• Supporting user research and usability testing
• Contributing ideas to improve onboarding and user experience

Details:

• Location: Berlin Germany hybrid remote options considered
• Internship type: Mandatory internship / Pflichtpraktikum unpaid
• Duration: 36 months
• Start date: ASAP
• Time commitment: Around 35 hours/week

Tasks

Collaborate with our engineering team to brainstorm and create user-friendly interfaces.

• Assist in conducting user research and usability testing to gather feedback.
• Help design wireframes mockups and prototypes for web SaaS UI..
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving user experience.
• Support the preparation and maintenance of design documentation and assets.

Requirements

Enthusiasm for UX/UI design and a keen eye for detail.

• Good to have AI tooling knoweldge
• Basic knowledge of design tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with the team.
• Currently enrolled in a relevant study program or similar educational background.
