- You will carry out CHT simulations to determine temperaturedistributions in relevant areas of the turbine wheels fordifferent operating points
- You will develop a robust CHT processfrom model setupand meshing to steady-state and transient simulations allthe way through to evaluation of the results
- You will analyze and structure the results of the CHTcalculations and compare them with measurement datafrom transient and steady-state temperature fieldmeasurements using thermocouples in selected areas ofradial turbine wheels
- You are studying mechanical engineering aerospaceengineering or a comparable degree program(Bachelors/Masters)
- You have basic knowledge of heat transfer
- You have initial experience with numerical simulation ideallyin the fields of CFD or CHT
- Basic knowledge of turbomachinery is an advantage
