RWE Supply & Trading (RWEST) is looking for a TalentDevelopmentLeadto join our Global HumanResources division based in this roleyou will shape and drive RWESTs approach toidentifyingdevelopingand engaging talent across theorganisation. With a focus on leadership potentials below executive level expert talent earlytalentand business-critical talent groups you will ensure that we build strong and sustainable talent pipelines aligned with current and future business needs.

You will take strategic ownership of our talent development portfolio translating business andpeoplepriorities into clear talent approaches developmentjourneysand scalable solutions. Working closely with Global People Partners Leadership Development senior businessstakeholdersand other HR teams you will ensure that talent identification development and succession processes connect effectively whilemaintainingclear ownership across the respective areas.

As part of the HR People &OrganisationalDevelopment team you will play a key role in implementing ourpeoplestrategy and continuously evolve how RWEST develops talent in an international and fast-moving business environment.

About the role

  • Talent Development Strategy & Portfolio Ownership:Shape and continuously evolve RWESTs talent development strategy and portfolio for leadership potentials below executive level expert talent earlytalentand business-critical talent groups( & IT) ensuring strong alignment with business priorities capabilityneedsand our wider people strategy.
  • Talent Identification & Talent Reviews:Lead structured approaches toidentifyingtalent and potential across relevant talent groups. Design and steerselectionand assessment processesfacilitatetalentdiscussionsand translate insights into meaningful development actions. Partner closely with relevant HR teams where performance insights inform talent identification.
  • Talent Pipelines & Succession Interface:Build visibility of critical talent populations and strengthen sustainable pipelines for future leadershipexpertand business-critical closely with Leadership Development and relevant successionstakeholders to ensure that talent development and succession approaches connect effectively and identified talent is prepared for future opportunities.
  • Development Architecture & Journeys:Design differentiated and impactful development approaches for RWESTs talent populations combining structuredprogrammers experiential learning networking mentoringexposureand individual development opportunities. Ensure development journeys address both individual potential and futureorganisationalcapabilityneeds.
  • Strategic Programme Leadership:Own and continuously develop key talent formats such as the E-LevelProgramme Leadership EssentialsProgrammeand Traders Training. Set strategic direction and quality standards steerdeliveryand ensureprogrammesremainrelevantscalableand impactful rather than focusing primarily on operational coordination.
  • Business & Stakeholder Partnership:Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders and HR colleagues on talent development topics. Translate business challenges and future capability requirements into talent solutions and provide guidance on the development of key talent populations.
  • Talent Engagement & Career Development:Create meaningful development and career experiences that strengthen engagement and retention of key talent. Enable talent to build relevant capabilities networks andorganisationalexposure and support an environment in which individuals can take ownership of their development.
  • Impact Analytics & Continuous Improvement:Define relevant success measures for talent initiatives use qualitative and quantitative insights to assessimpactand continuously improve the portfolio. Leverage talent data participant and stakeholder feedback and external best practices to inform decisions and recommendations.
  • Innovation & Future-Focused Learning:Identifyand introducenew approachesto talent development including digital and AI-supported learning scalable development formats and innovative methods that respond to evolving business and workforce needs.
  • Programme Governance & Delivery:Establishclear governance standards and timelines across the talent development portfolio and steer internal and external partners to ensure high-quality execution. Remain close enough to delivery to ensure an excellent participant experience whilemaintainingfocuson strategic ownership andimpact.

Job requirements and experience

  • Significant experiencein Talent Management Talent Development Learning &Developmentor a related HR field ideally in an international and complex environment
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering impactful talent development initiatives with the ability to translate business and people priorities into effective development solutions
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives and priorities from concept through to implementation
  • Strong communication stakeholder management and influencing skills with the confidence to collaborate effectively across functions levels and geographies
  • Strategic and proactive working style combined with a hands-on mindset sound judgement and a strong focus on quality and impact
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use talent data feedback and insights to inform decisions and continuously improve talent development approaches
  • Fluent in English; experience working across cultures and in an international environment is a plus

Advantageous but not essential

  • Experience developing talent strategiesframeworksor portfolio approaches across multiple talent populations.
  • Experience with talent analytics assessment methodologies or data-driven talent identification.
  • Experience designing career development mentoring experiential learning or cross-functional development approaches.
  • Experience steering external learning partners coaches trainers or assessment providers.
  • Experience with digital learning ecosystems and AI-supported approaches to talent and development.
  • Experience in trading energy technology or another fast-paced and complex business environment.
