We are looking for a student assistant (8h/week) to support the HeiGIT research team primarily on-site with both organizational and research related tasks. Research related task will vary over time and will give you the opportunity to get insights into a broad range of topics we work at HeiGIT.
literature search
supporting GIS analysis
keeping track of publication conference submission status
Interest or background in geoinformatics and geography
interest in machine learning or computer science is beneficial but not necessary
knowledge on literature management systems (Zotero)
Basic Experience with Python and/or R (e.g. for data wrangling visualization or analysis)
Basic knowledge of GIS tools or spatial data
Structured and reliable working style curiosity and willingness to learn
Flexible working hours perfect alongside your studies
Freedom to manage your own time with a high degree of personal responsibility
Exciting insights into working in geoinformation
Work in a dedicated environment close to the university
