Job Summary

HPI is recognized as one of the leading university institutes for computer science (). In our research clusters Systems Data and AI Foundations Digital Health Security and Business and Society researchers from various disciplines work together on topics relevant to solving the challenges facing society. The Digital Engineering Faculty of the University of Potsdam and HPI offers a computer science engineering degree program that is unique in Germany.

In the course of its strong growth the Hasso Plattner Institute is looking for a candidate for its GDTA division at the earliest possible date to support the Network Manager based in Potsdam.

Student Assistant (m/f/x) for Communications & Social Media

The position is initially fixed term for six months with the prospect of extension and part-time (9 hours per week).

The GDTA (Global Design Thinking Alliance) is a worldwide network connecting organizations and individuals who advance Design Thinking in education business and society. Its Network Manager is based at the HPI d-school in Potsdam one of the worlds leading Design Thinking hubs at the Hasso Plattner Institute.

Were looking for a student assistant to support our Network Manager. With your fresh perspective and enthusiasm youll actively help shape the digital presence of the GDTA Network.

Your responsibilities

  • Video Editing: Support us in producing and editing video content
  • Visuals & Design: Create compelling graphics and visual assets for our channels
  • LinkedIn & Editorial: Develop and publish posts and maintain our editorial content
  • Website Maintenance: Keep our website up to date with fresh engaging content (WordPress)
  • Community & Channel Management: Engage with our target audience and help evolve our social media presence

What you bring

  • You have a passion for communications social media and storytelling
  • You speak fluent English and bring intercultural skills both are essential in this international environment
  • You are communicative well-organized and outgoing
  • You have a background or strong interest in communication or graphic design
  • Experience with MS Office Suite Adobe Suite Canva or similar tools as well as WordPress is a plus
  • You are currently enrolled at a university or higher education institution
