About us
IMB () is a research institute on the campus of the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz Germany. It is generously funded by the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation and the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. 4R is a DFG-funded research training group at the IMB who looks for an assistant to support us with organization of scientific events. We are looking for a student assistant (m/f/d) to support us with organizational and scientific tasks (if possible 8-10 hours per week depending on your start date).
Tasks and responsibilities
- Organising scientific events workshops seminars and an international conference (including abstractbook compilation catering welcomepackage preparation merchandise etc.).
- Administrative support preparing material handling correspondence maintaining the event database and other routine tasks that keep the office running smoothly.
Requirements
- Enjoyment of working in an international and interdisciplinary environment
- Experience with academic events
- Good communication and organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Good knowledge of German and English (spoken and written)
- Good PC knowledge (MS Office inc. Microsoft Word)
