EIFER seeks a student assistant (m/f/d) for GIS Assistance and Implementation of Data Processing.

This position is based in Karlsruhe and is available to start 01.07.2026.

Monthly working hours are based on the candidates qualifications:

  • No degree: 401 hours per month
  • Bachelors degree: 37.9 hours per month
  • Masters degree: 28.5 hours per month

Salary: 610 per month

  • Assist in GIS Data Processing (Data cleansing and harmonization spatial analyses) .
  • Support the preparation of methodology report and documentation.
  • Help with the development of automated data processing workflows (e.g. in Python).
  • Support for analyses and validations.
  • Currently enrolled as a University student
    preferred study subjects: Geoinformatics Environmental Informatics Multi Energy Systems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in energy research and sustainability.
  • Basic knowledge of Python is an advantage (especially for data analysis and processing).
