Job Summary
Join the team that is revolutionizing the timing industry with the best Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) timing products in the world. As a Principal MEMS Development Engineer you will use your technical and creative problem-solving skills to push forward MEMS technology and engineer resonators for SiTimes next-generation timing products. It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.
Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the development of new MEMS technologies enhance performance or manufacturability of existing devices improve measurement or simulation infrastructure both through team effort and personal technical contributions
- Lead definition and execution of challenging technical projects.
- Advise management of challenges impact recommendations.
- Develop new or improved resonators MEMS technologies and/or products.
- Contribute technical ideas for SiTimes technical roadmap by working with Marketing and Executive teams in defining next-generation products based on new technologies.
- Interface with local and overseas vendors establish new partnerships favorable to SiTime business
- Partner closely with Engineering Operations and Program Management to deliver scalable predictable development execution.
- Adapt to evolving business needs and lead critical initiatives as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Physics or equivalent
- 10 years of industry experience in MEMS or specialty sensor development; 15 years is preferred. Experience with MEMS timing is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading and delivering complex MEMS development programs.
- Handson technical credibility across MEMS design fabrication characterization and modeling.
- Strong technical and business judgment with the ability to innovate design experiments and interpret complex data.
- Experience with finite element simulation tools (COMSOL ANSYS) and data processing tools (Matlab Python).
- Excellent interpersonal organizational and written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of programing languages circuits metrology equipment and methods
- Passion for execution excellence ownership delivering exceptional results
