Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide and bundle the cost estimates working with the Commodity Management.
- Ensure robust estimates are provided (including the CPA/Firming) that align to the scope of the application and deliver the risks and opportunities including any necessary analysis and mitigation actions.
- Monitor and review costing data to detect and assess problems and make recommendations to resolve issues.
- Ensure strong coordination between all roles involved for timely preparation of a good quality technical offer and costing.
- Monitor Costs and assessed against baseline reference solution target cost. Properly benchmark and challenge any cost which does not compare with target cost to avoid both over and under estimation.
- Monitor and report cost progress throughout the tender process. Provide reports on actual costs versus the reference costs and identify underlying reasons for any variance and proposed resolutions.
- Create / Manage / Maintain the costing tool within ITOC and all associated inputs and outputs.
- Close alignment with Engineering and associated Solidity.
- Close alignment with the Commodity Management) to drive competitiveness and participate to the right Commodity strategy.
- Agree manufacturing schedule and costs and ensure that the product can be delivered in line with project schedule.
- Own the costing process.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice cost estimating vision strategy policies processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance in costing.
- Contribute to the digitalization of the costing tool into ITOC.
- Ensure a robust cost estimating process in place to meet production/project requirements and in line with quality standards.
- Ensure consistent cost management processes are applied in the business working closely with Engineering sourcing manufacturing NPI Solution Owner and procurement.
- Ensure that the project if awarded will be executable without time nor cost slippage.
- Work closely with Engineering to support continuous improvement through cost engineering techniques and processes identifying inefficiencies and cost optimisation opportunities.
- Establish the sourcing strategy in collaboration with technical and commercial teams. Coordinate with Sourcing to ensure purchasing terms and conditions as well as contract conditions are applied and suppliers pre-qualified. Review total cost of ownership firming provisions and assumptions and supplier selection.
- Hand over won deals to OTR stakeholders.
- Captures return of experience in execution and feedback into tendering activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sourcing and international costing
- Bachelors degree in supply chain or equivalent from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma) or equivalent experience
- Excellent analytical skills
- Proficient skills in PC Microsoft Office Excel Access
- Fluency in English
- Autonomous in daily operations team worker and independent decision taker
