Our team:
The Impact Insights team is part of the Insight Systems group a cross-functional organization focused on transforming observability into actionable intelligence across Bloombergs real-time data platform. Our goal is to ensure that every real-time enterprise data service is understood and improved using insights that reflect client expectations for quality and experience.
Impact Insights plays a critical role in that mission. The team focuses on understanding how anomalies propagate through Bloombergs market data pipeline and quantifying their downstream impact across services instruments and clients. We develop systems that pinpoint root causes calculate blast radii and enrich incidents with high-quality diagnostic and impact information.
We work closely with engineering support and product teams to reduce time-to-detect investigate and resolve while improving our ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders.
Team will be responsible for building:
- Real-time data lineage and topology graphs
- Intelligent agentic workflows to automate incident enrichment
- Integrated views that connect metadata system behavior and client impact

Youll need to have:
- 5 years of experience in software engineering
- 2 years in a leadership or mentorship role
- Proficiency in C and Python
- The ability to effectively listen communicate challenge and influence team members peers and senior managers
- Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale
- Experience working with a global team and stakeholders in various locations
