Software Engineer Java, C++ & AI-Assisted Development (m|f|d) Build Software That Helps Change Lives

Your Mission 

Join us at the intersection of software hardware AI and life sciences. Youll develop Java- and C-based software for advanced laboratory and clinical instruments that support biomedical research and next-generation therapies. Together with a cross-functional agile team youll build reliable technology that helps tackle cancer and other serious diseases while driving the adoption of AI-powered engineering practices. You will: 

• Help us discover and establish effective ways of using AI to improve coding testing debugging and software quality. 

• Build modern reliable applications with a strong focus on Java and develop hardware-near software components using C. 

• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to enhance software development testing debugging documentation and code reviews. Critically assess and refine generated outputs to ensure secure maintainable and production-ready software solutions. 

• Own the development and continuous improvement of software for our instrument portfolio ensuring the highest standards of quality reliability and performance. 

• Work in a cross-functional team of software engineers testers hardware experts and scientists contributing your expertise and ideas to create innovative solutions. 

Qualifications :

What You Bring

• Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a comparable field.  

• AI-first-mindset whether through intelligent automation agent-based systems prompt engineering or generative AI applications and motivation to transfer this experience into AI-driven software verification and quality engineering 

• Strong Java development skills; experience with C is a plus.  

• Knowledge of areas such as multithreading UI development system design or hardware integration with a focus on clean and maintainable code.  

• Collaborative agile and solution-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and good English proficiency. 

Bonus points for experience in: 

• Medical devices biotechnology laboratory automation or regulated software. 

• Git CI/CD automated testing or DevOps practices. 

• IEC 62304 ISO 13485 or similar standards.
