Peraton requires Systems Security Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3.This position is located in Stuttgart Germany and requires TESA approval.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM its Component Commands its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs) and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration change license and asset management; conduct training and perform Install Move Add Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM the CIO/J6 organization and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
The Systems Security Administrator will serve as a foundational member of the IT Infrastructure team. Under the guidance of Senior Administrators and the Task Lead this role involves assisting in the daily administration monitoring and troubleshooting of Host Based Security Systems (HBSS) on endpoints as well as helping to run vulnerability scans using ACAS. This position is ideal for an emerging IT professional looking to build hands-on experience in DoD cybersecurity compliance incident response and enterprise security tools.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Assisting in monitoring systems security reviewing SIEM logs (Splunk Microsoft Sentinel) and identifying potential security incidents
Supporting the execution of scheduled ACAS (Tenable) vulnerability scans to ensure all intended assets are covered
Assisting with the daily administration and troubleshooting of endpoint security tools (e.g. Trellix EDR Microsoft Defender) under the guidance of senior staff
Helping analyze Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) and assist cross-functional teams with basic remediation efforts
Maintaining and updating documentation for security configurations policies and standard operating procedures
Participating in security systems testing and ensure the basic integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data
Developing effective communication and cross-team relationships to support problem resolution and technology awareness
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years with AS/AA; 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD
11 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education
DoD TS/SCI clearance is required for this role
DoD 8570.01-M IAT II certification
Introduction to Tenable Vulnerability Management Certification
Foundational understanding of IT Systems Administration desktop support and basic networking principles
Must meet TESA requirements
Desired qualifications:
Familiarity with Splunk Tenable/ACAS or Trellix EDR suites
Basic understanding of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
Familiarity with DoD security compliance and Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Experience using IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy

Target Salary Range
$80000 - $128000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
