The Role
As a Site Support Technician youll be a critical technical resource at the customer site helping keep sophisticated automated testing and triage systems operating safely reliably and efficiently.
Youll work alongside customer teams onsite operators and engineering and technical support colleagues to diagnose issues resolve faults carry out preventative maintenance and continuously improve system performance.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Technical Support
- Provide hands-on technical support at the customer site.
- Support the implementation operation and ongoing enhancement of automated robotic device testing and triage systems.
- Respond quickly to technical issues and troubleshoot problems to minimise operational downtime.
- Lead initial fault triage and escalate complex issues to the appropriate engineering or support teams.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on automated systems and associated equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems industrial controls hardware sensors valves and other components.
- Carry out point-to-point checks between field devices and controllers.
- Troubleshoot analogue discrete and networked input/output signals.
Investigation & Continuous Improvement
- Investigate system issues and provide clear descriptions of operating conditions and potential causes.
- Capture system logs images reproduction steps and other diagnostic information to support technical investigations.
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Contribute to troubleshooting guides FAQs training materials and other technical documentation.
What Youll Bring
Were looking for someone who enjoys solving technical problems learning new technology and working in a hands-on environment.
- 15 years progressive experience in mobile device customer support or a related technical support environment.
- 15 years experience working with electro-mechanical systems hardware industrial controls controllers and/or programming.
- At least 1 years experience testing and supporting Android and/or iOS devices.
- Practical experience troubleshooting industrial controls and automated equipment.
- Understanding of analogue discrete and networked input/output signals.
- Knowledge of Command Line Interface (CLI) environments such as Linux Unix Bash and/or Shell.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues and deliver effective customer support.
- Experience working directly with customers in a fast-paced operational environment.
