Job Summary

The Mechanics & Simulation Development Department is responsible for the development of Finite Element-based (FEM) tire simulation processes and methods including visualization and analysis tools to provide complete solutions for understanding and optimization of the product. This position is intended to be filled on a full-time basis. However applications for part-time employment will be considered in accordance with business needs.

Your main tasks are: 

  • Design and implementation of software architecture for finite element simulation
  • Implement numerical methods solver integrations and mesh/geometry processing tools
  • Maintain and enhance simulation workflows including pre- and post-processing capabilities
  • Ensure high software quality through testing validation and careful debugging
  • Optimize performance for parallel and high-performance computing environments
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to translate physical models into robust software solutions
  • Support modern development practices (Git CI/CD code reviews) and continuous improvement

Qualifications :

  • MSc or PhD degree in Computer Science Engineering Applied Mathematics Natural Sciences or a related technical discipline with several years of relevant work experience
  • Good understanding of the physical and material principles governing tire behavior with the ability to reason from first principles
  • Strong proficiency in modern C and solid software design principles; Python experience is a plus
  • Proven experience contributing to open-source frameworks; publicly verifiable contributions are an advantage
  • Experience applying agentic coding paradigms to solve real-world problems with clear evidence of outcomes
  • Solid understanding of geometry processing and mesh generation algorithms including parametrization feature alignment and mesh quality optimization
  • Experience working in Linux environments and with version control (Git)
  • Strong attention to detail with a rigorous approach to debugging validation and ensuring correctness in complex software systems
  • Strong hands-on solution-oriented mindset with a proven ability to take ownership and solve problems
  • Proficient English language skills (written and spoken)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across software and engineering teams
