Senior Financial Analyst, Accounting, EMEA CAPEX Accounting

The Munich based Accounting team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our accounting organization and become a major contributor to our Accounting team. Key job responsibilities
Being a strong team player taking ownership and demonstrating self-initiative
Drive or participate in national and international accounting projects
Business partnering within the Amazon group
Develop and manage scalable and automated processes
International coordination with the global Accounting organization
Responsibility for month-end quarter-end and year-end closing of financial books.
Assessment and evaluation of GAAP-to-GAAP differences
Support improvements in accounting processes internal workflows and implementation of best practices

About the team
Finance and Global Business Services

- Bachelors degree in finance accounting or related field or experience or equivalent experience in finance roles
- Knowledge of one or multiple accounting frameworks (including US GAAP IFRS or local GAAP frameworks) with the ability to apply them in day-to-day financial activities
- Speak write and read fluently in English
- Experience supporting month-end closing processes and contributing to financial reporting under established procedures
- Experience supporting the implementation of controls or contributing to audits over financial reporting environments
- Experience using financial models KPIs and data analysis to support business decisions
- Knowledge of SOX methodology and associated standards (sections 302 404 AS5 PCAOB etc.)

- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA ACCA CIMA CPA or equivalent)
- Experience developing financial models in Excel with advanced functions (pivot tables macros VBA Power Query)
- Experience with data analytics platforms (Power BI Python SQL Tableau)
