It is our mission is to make a meaningful contribution to improving patient care through scientific excellence.
Since 2024 we have been operating independently as a subsidiary of the Humanwell Healthcare Group under the name PAION Pharma GmbH.
To strengthen our team in Aachen we are looking for an experiencedSenior Director R&D (m/f/d) who will play a key role in advancing our development portfolio and driving medical innovation.
Your Responsibilities:
As a senior leader within our R&D organization you will
- Design and manage development programs for medicinal products in anaesthesia and intensive care
- Act as an internal and external expert in these therapeutic areas
- Engage with scientific experts and key opinion leaders to discuss strategies and innovative concepts
- Evaluate prioritize and strategically develop new R&D projects
Your profile
- University degree in Medicine or Life Sciences; MD or PhD preferred
- Proven experience in anaesthesia intensive care or related medical specialties
- Approx. 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Scientific expertise with leadership and strategic thinking
- In-depth knowledge across all stages of drug development (non-clinical clinical and CMC/formulation)
- Demonstrated leadership experience both in project teams and line management
- Strong ability to analyze interpret and communicate complex scientific information effectively
- Basic knowledge of Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance
- Self-organized reliable and solution-oriented working style
- Fluency in written and spoken English
