Senior Backend Engineer Experimentation

About the opportunity

We are seeking a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join the Platform Engineering Domain in the Experimentation team.

The mission of the Experimentation team is to enable N26 engineering teams to make data driven decisions when it comes to launching new features and products. The team offers products for executing A/B tests managing Feature Flags and collecting Frontend Tracking events.

Our cross-functional teams are passionate about collaboration and sharing knowledge as well as working with a high degree of autonomy.

As a Senior Backend Engineer at N26 you will be encouraged to embrace the latest technological updates and given a platform to work on complex interesting problems on a daily basis.

As one of the first banks completely hosted in the cloud - our security resilience and productivity standards require not only the use of a modern technology stack but the building of teams in line with our principles and in the service of our product teams the company and our customers.

In this role you will:

• Design develop test deploy and maintain software in a thriving environment.
  
  
• Collaborate closely with your Tech Lead on architecting new features and seeing them through to completion.
  
  
• Stay up to date with the latest trends in technology.
  
  
• Work within your cross-functional team to uphold the highest technical standards right across the product.

What you need to be successful:

• Significant experience in developing software using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems.
  
  
• Solid experience with software development best practices and software architectures (Distributed systems Domain Driven Design Testing).
  
  
• Full professional proficiency in English.
  
  
• Previous experience with cloud architectures preferably with AWS.

Nice to have:

• Data Engineering hands-on experience
  
  
• Hands-on experience developing and/or operating event streaming platforms (preferably Kafka)
  
  
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
