Location: Remote with occasional onsite visits in Germany
Responsibilities
Design develop and maintain robust backend services and scalable systems using Java.
Architect and implement cloud-native solutions leveraging the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem.
Develop high-performance microservices and handle asynchronous data processing.
Work extensively with event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Pub/Sub and RabbitMQ.
Manage and optimise relational databases specifically focusing on PostgreSQL.
Design build and integrate secure and efficient RESTful APIs.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Requirements
Must-Have Requirements
Proven senior-level experience in backend software development with a strong Java background.
Solid hands-on experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Deep understanding of microservices architecture and asynchronous data processing.
Practical experience with event-driven systems and message brokers (e.g. Pub/Sub RabbitMQ).
Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL orsimilar relational databases.
Experience designing and implementing scalable backend services and APIs.
Fluency in English (the primary working language).
Eligibility and residency in the EU EEA UK or Switzerland.
Preferred Requirements
Professional experience working within the Financial Services sector.
Proficiency in German is preferred.
