Senior backend Developer

As a Senior Backend Developer you will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining scalable backend systems APIs and cloud services. You will work closely with AI engineers frontend developers product managers and DevOps specialists to deliver high-performance secure and reliable solutions. You will play a key role in defining technical architecture mentoring team members and ensuring engineering best practices across the backend ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Design develop and maintain robust backend applications and services. Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices to support AI-powered products. Develop integrations with machine learning models AI services and third-party platforms. Design and optimize database schemas queries and data pipelines. Implement authentication authorization and security best practices. Monitor troubleshoot and optimize application performance and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Lead code reviews and promote high-quality coding standards. Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decision-making. Participate in architecture discussions and technology selection. Support CI/CD processes and cloud infrastructure deployments. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 5 years of professional backend development experience. Strong proficiency in at least one backend language such as: Python (FastAPI Django) (NestJS Express) Java (Spring Boot) Go Experience designing and consuming REST APIs. Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB Redis). Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud. Knowledge of Docker Kubernetes and containerized deployments. Familiarity with Git CI/CD pipelines and automated testing. Strong understanding of software architecture design patterns and distributed systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience building AI-powered applications or integrating Large Language Models (LLMs). Familiarity with vector databases and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures. Experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers (Kafka RabbitMQ). Knowledge of GraphQL and real-time communication technologies. Experience working in agile development environments. Contributions to open-source projects are a plus.
