Secondment - Global Access Strategy and Pricing Manager (m/f/d) Pneumococcal Vaccines

Duration: 12 Months

Role Summary

The Global Access Strategy and Pricing Manager Pneumococcal Vaccines supports the development and execution of value access and pricing strategy for Pfizers pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) franchise across pediatric and adult indications. Working under the direction of a Director / Senior Director on the One Pneumo (GASP PCV) team the Manager owns defined access deliverables for an assigned set of markets or a portfolio segment producing the building blocks that enable the franchise to win and defend tenders transition markets to Prevenar 20 and prepare for competitive entrants.

The Manager turns franchise strategy into market-ready resources: payer value propositions objection handlers country access roadmaps tender submission materials and pricing-scenario inputs. They maintain the franchises shared access resources track competitor and payer developments and ensure local needs are reflected in the global (glocal) plan. The role operates with a One Pfizer mindset and partners closely with Commercial Medical Country Health & Value Regulatory and the GAV Centers of Excellence.

Role Responsibilities

Develop access deliverables (under direction)

  • Build and refresh PCV payer value propositions (PVPs) and objection handlers for assigned markets in line with the latest evidence and competitive landscape.

  • Draft and maintain country access roadmaps to support transition to PCV20 and win-back of competitor-held markets.

  • Assemble tender submission packs and supporting materials for assigned tenders coordinating inputs across functions.

Support pricing tender and evidence work

  • Support IRP and tender analyses and populate pricing-scenario inputs for review by the Director / Senior Director.

  • Compile evidence summaries (RWE cost-effectiveness burden of disease) and track payer-relevant data for assigned markets.

  • Contribute to key strategic projects e.g. GPA and IVAS refresh PMR follow-up and the CH&V training curriculum by preparing inputs and materials.

Maintain resources and enable the team

  • Maintain an efficient accessible repository of key value & access resources for partner lines.

  • Ensure local market needs and perspectives are appropriately incorporated into the glocal access plan.

  • Support facilitation of the Pneumococcal Access Matrix Team (AMT) and VANTAC preparing materials and tracking actions.

  • Conduct all activities in full accordance with Company policies SOPs Pfizer Values and global regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree required; advanced degree in a health policy economics life-sciences or business field preferred.

Basic qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience (or 2 years with an advanced degree) in market access pricing health economics or a related field within the life-sciences industry.

  • Working knowledge of payer and market-access environments and of pricing / reimbursement dynamics.

  • Sound analytical skills and the ability to translate data and evidence into clear decision-ready materials.

  • Strong project-management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple deliverables against competing deadlines.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior experience in vaccines tender / contracting environments or specialist-medicines procurement.

  • Familiarity with PCV competitive dynamics (e.g. Merck Capvaxive / V116 Sanofi PCV21 Vaxcyte VAX-31) and Pfizers pipeline.

  • Experience working across global and local teams in a matrixed organization.

  • Eagerness to challenge the status quo and develop practical solutions to access problems.

Decision Rights & Scope

  • Operates with defined autonomy on assigned deliverables; recommends approaches and analyses for Director / Senior Director review and approval.

  • Geographic scope is an assigned set of markets or a portfolio segment driven by the PCV global launch sequence and Market Access Working Group priorities.

Physical / Mental Requirements & Work Environment

  • Strong organizational discipline and an execution mindset focused on getting things done simply and on time.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and transparently across global regional and local teams.

  • Ability to travel internationally as required; open to remote working from any Pfizer site in the IDM / EM region.
