• Design develop optimize and transfer downstream purification processes for research and development programs.
• Independently plan execute analyze and interpret downstream process development studies.
• Evaluate and implement innovative purification technologies chromatography approaches and membrane-based processes.
• Support process scale-up and technology transfer activities with manufacturing partners and CDMOs.
• Apply scientific expertise to customer discussions project proposals grant activities and business development initiatives.
• Communicate project progress experimental findings risks and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Author technical reports SOPs study summaries protocols and quality documentation.
• Mentor students technical assistants and junior scientists.
• Drive scientific troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.

• MSc or PhD in Biochemistry Biotechnology Bioprocess Engineering or a related life science discipline.
• Strong expertise in downstream process development protein purification chromatography and scale-up of biologics.
• Hands-on experience with ÄKTA systems affinity purification technologies and protein characterization methods (e.g. HPLC SEC ELISA BLI/SPR).
• 3 years of industry experience in biotechnology biopharma or CDMO environments.
• Strong scientific problem-solving data analysis and technical writing skills.
• Understanding of upstream process development is an advantage.

• Proven ability to independently design execute and interpret complex process development studies.
• Experience supporting process scale-up and technology transfer activities.
• Strong project management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to communicate scientific results effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborative mindset with experience working across multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior colleagues.
