Evident Technology Center Europe GmbH (ETCE) based in Münster Germany has been developing and producing intelligent software and hardware solutions for microscopy as a global Center of Excellence for over 35 years. Originally ETCE was part of Olympus Corporation. Olympus spun off the business unit in April 2022 and transferred the business activities of its Scientific Solutions division to the newly founded independent company Evident.

You will join an experienced agile development team working on the PRECiV software EVIDENTs intelligent software platform for advanced measurements AI-enhanced image analysis during production quality control and inspection operations.

We are looking for a Requirements Engineer to join our PRECiV Scrum this role you will be the bridge between stakeholders product management and engineering ensuring that we build the right systems features and software for our customers in industrial applications. You will play a key part in translating complex business and technical needs into clear actionable and testable requirements. The job is hybrid/on-site office located in Münster Germany.

Tasks
  • Elicit analyze and document requirements from stakeholders including product management R&D regulatory affairs and external customers for software solutions in the field of materials science
  • Translate business and user needs into clear and testable functional and non-functional requirements
  • Create and maintain requirements specifications use cases and user stories
  • Ensure requirements are consistent complete feasible and aligned with applicable standards
  • Collaborate closely with the development team throughout the development lifecycle
  • Facilitate requirements review workshops and validation sessions with stakeholders
  • Continuously improve requirements engineering processes templates and tooling within the team
Requirements
  • Degree in natural science computer science engineering or a related technical field
  • Experience in requirements engineering or a comparable bridging role between domain and software development
  • IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE) certification is desirable
  • Familiarity with agile methods ideally with hands-on Scrum experience
  • Strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate complex scientific topics into precise software requirements
  • Practical programming experience in an object-oriented language such as C is a plus
  • Very good English and good German language skills
