Promotion Virtual Commissioning Generic Multi-Fidelity Simulation Framework for High-Performance Transport Systems (fmdiv.)
Main-Spessart - Germany
Job Summary
- As a doctoral candidate you will design and validate a simulation-tool-independent virtual commissioning (VC) framework for testing real-time control stacks and carrier-management middleware for linear-motor transport systems without physical hardware.
- You will classify and define the required fidelity of physical simulation models ranging from high-level material flow representations to component-level physics for diverse commissioning scenarios.
- Furthermore you will derive quantitative mathematical metrics and experimental validation methodologies to characterize the behavioral equivalence between real and simulated systems.
- You will publish your findings in peer-reviewed journals and present them at scientific conferences.
- The final assignment of the doctoral research topic is determined by the supervising university which serves as the central point of contact for the doctoral program.
