The Factory Logistics Project Manager leads the global portfolio of factory logistics transformation and investment initiatives across the manufacturing network ensuring flawless execution from concept through implementation and value realization. The role identifies designs develops and drives strategic logistics improvement programs that enhance operational performance accelerate automation optimize material flow and deliver sustainable cost savings.
As a key leader within the global factory logistics function the role proactively develops business cases defines investment roadmaps and champions innovative solutions that strengthen logistics capabilities across the organization. Through strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management working closely with factories regional teams and central functions the Factory Logistics Project Manager ensures alignment of priorities governance resources and delivery standards while driving continuous improvement and measurable business value.
Key accountabilities:
- Ensure flawless execution of agreed initiatives from opportunity identification and business case development through implementation stabilization and benefit realization focusing on delivering projects safely in full on time and in budget.
- Identify design and drive innovative logistics solutions automation opportunities and transformational initiatives that support operational excellence and future manufacturing requirements.
- Drive standardization of logistics processes and technologies ensuring collection of lessons learned promoting best practices and developing standards for future projects.
- Monitor KPIs portfolio risks resource allocation and value realization by driving cross-functional portfolio transparency through governance and reporting acting as SPOC for factories regarding logistics investment topics.
- Influence and align stakeholders across factories Supply Chain Engineering IT Procurement SHE and Operations to ensure successful delivery of strategic objectives.
- Master degree in Engineering Supply Chain Logistics Operations or related field (mandatory).
- 10 years experience in factory logistics supply chain manufacturing engineering or project management environments.
- Experience delivering CAPEX and automation projects in manufacturing (FMCG preferred) environment.
- Experience in the automotive sector is beneficial.
- Strong experience coordinating multi-stream projects with diverse stakeholders.
- Project Management: strong expertise in budgeting scheduling and risk management.
- Communication & Collaboration: exceptional communication skills acting as an ambassador for factory logistics maintaining entrepreneurial mindset to identify saving opportunities in the network.
- Languages: Fluent English required; German beneficial.
