Wereseeking a Power BI specialist to auditoptimize and clean up our existing semantic model data ingestion pipelines and dashboards for a part time (50%) dedicated project from July to November 2026.

About the Role

Our Power BI environment has grown organically and needs professional for an experienced Power BI expert todrivea comprehensive cleanup and restructuring our current semantic model for performance issues and design flaws collaborate with our data engineers tooptimizeour data lake ingestion processes and refactor our dashboards for consistency usability and efficiencywhile instilling best practices in our team for continued success after the project ends.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit anddocumentthecurrentsemanticmodelstructure&relationshipsfor consistency with our ontologies and other existing applications
• Identify and eliminate redundant tables views columns and measures within the MS Data Lake
• Rewrite inefficient or problematic DAX formulas for clarity and speed
• Identify problem areas on the Microsoft side of ingestion and collaborate with our data engineers for required modifications
• Verify data accuracy and consistency across Power BI
• Audit existing dashboards for consistency usability and performance and propose consolidation or redesign
• Create & update documentation for semantic models and dashboard usage
• Create guidance and best practices for Power BI usage

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum3yearsofprofessionalPowerBIexperienceincludingdatamodeloptimizationandintegrationwith various data stores within&outside the MSecosystem
• Abilitytodiagnoseandfixcomplexformulaissues
• ProvenabilitytoauditandrefactorexistingBIsolutions
• Strongdocumentationandcommunicationskills
• ExperiencewithversioncontrolorchangemanagementinBIenvironments
• Familiarity withDagster DBT and Postgres
