Are you an experienced Payroll Team Lead with strong knowledge of German payroll tax and social security regulations
We are looking for a Team Lead Payroll (m/w/d) to lead a team of payroll specialists and play an important role in improving and digitalising payroll processes.
Your Responsibilities
Lead coach and develop a team of 8 Payroll Specialists Oversee daily payroll operations and ensure accurate timely monthly payroll runs Support the team with payroll systems processes and technical questions Drive automation standardisation and continuous process improvement Work closely with IT on the implementation and optimisation of digital payroll solutions Contribute to cross-functional projects and payroll growth initiatives Collaborate with HR Sales Support and Software Development teams Act as a hands-on leader who combines people management with strong payroll expertise
What Were Looking For
3 years of leadership experience ideally within payroll 2 years of hands-on German payroll experience Strong knowledge of German payroll tax and social security regulations Experience working with payroll software C1 German both written and spoken Completed commercial apprenticeship or equivalent qualification Strong IT affinity and a digital mindset Analytical structured and solution-oriented approach Self-directed hands-on and service-oriented personality Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to improve existing processes
Nice to Have
Experience with SBS Lohn Good English skills Experience in payroll digitalisation or process automation
Location & Working Model
Berlin / Bernau / Leipzig / Nürnberg
Hybrid working model with up to 2 days of home office per week Regular visit to the Bernau location approximately once per week Occasional travel to other locations when required
