Job Summary
As a T&A Deployment Engineer Strads you will play a critical role in delivering autonomous straddle carrier technology as part of the North Sea Terminal Bremerhaven (NTB) Transformation Project. Based onsite in Bremerhaven Germany you will serve as the technical authority for the deployment integration commissioning and operationalisation of Autonomous Straddle Carrier (AutoSC) solutions. Working closely with operations engineering product IT and project teams you will ensure automation systems are successfully integrated into live terminal operations while maintaining business continuity and operational excellence.

- Contribute to the deployment of advanced autonomous vehicle technology within one of APM Terminals flagship terminal transformation programmes.
- Collaborate with global product engineering operations and technology teams on complex automation initiatives.
- Develop expertise in operational technology industrial automation and autonomous equipment deployment within a global organisation.

- Lead the end-to-end deployment of Autonomous Straddle Carrier (AutoSC) solutions including site preparation installation commissioning testing go-live and operational stabilisation.
- Serve as the primary technical authority for AutoSC deployment coordinating activities across operations maintenance OT vendors IT teams and project stakeholders.
- Oversee the integration of AutoSC solutions with terminal assets operational systems fleet management platforms Equipment Control Systems (ECS) and Terminal Operating Systems (TOS).
- Manage automation-related technologies including PLCs Remote I/O safety systems sensors positioning systems communications infrastructure and vehicle control systems.
- Support deployment planning risk management testing activities and validation processes ensuring technical deliverables meet project requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Provide technical guidance during deployment activities support knowledge transfer to terminal personnel and remain engaged through operational stabilisation.
- Monitor technical risks escalate issues where appropriate and contribute to continuous improvement of deployment methodologies and automation practices.

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering; qualifications in Automation or related disciplines are advantageous.
- Proven experience in container terminal operations port automation and industrial automation deployment within complex project environments.
- Strong technical expertise in PLC programming (Siemens S7-300/1200/1500) SCADA systems (WinCC Ignition) motion control systems industrial communication protocols and technologies including TOS ECS OPC UA APIs middleware 5G and cybersecurity.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities across automation IT mechanical civil and operational workstreams.
- Strong stakeholder management technical problem-solving project delivery and change management skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in English is required; German is preferred.
