THE WHAT
This role owns the day-to-day operations of Blackwaves offices across Garching and Taufkirchen. The goal is simple: create an environment where employees can focus on their work while guests experience the best possible first impression.
From facility coordination and office organisation to documentation suppliers and company vehicleseverything is well organised functional and continuously improving.
Your responsibilities
Create an exceptional workplace experience:
Keep reception meeting rooms kitchens and community spaces clean organised and ready for employees and visitors. Welcome guests professionally and ensure meetings start smoothly.
Togetherness:Every visitor and employee should feel welcome from the moment they arrive.
Own office & facility operations:
Coordinate external suppliers maintenance partners cleaning services and landlords. Resolve issues quickly and continuously improve the workplace.
Accountability: Take ownership before problems become visible.
Keep the office running:
Manage office supplies catering coffee machines kitchen equipment and meeting rooms. Ensure everything is stocked maintained and ready to use.
High Performance:Great workplaces are built through consistent attention to detail.
Drive workplace improvements:
Support office design projects optimise workspaces and help shape an environment where people enjoy coming to work.
Playfulness: Look for better solutions instead of maintaining the status quo.
Own documentation & operational infrastructure:
Maintain contracts documentation health & safety records and internal systems. Coordinate company vehicles servicing and inspections.
Candor: Clear documentation creates reliable operations.
- Experience in Office Management Workplace Management Facility Management or Hospitality
- Comfortable coordinating external suppliers and service providers
- Strong organisational skills with a structured way of working
- Basic knowledge of workplace health & safety requirements
- Confident using common office equipment and handling minor troubleshooting
- Valid drivers licence
- German C1C2 and English B2 minimum
- On-site in Garching (supporting both locations)

Blackwave designs manufactures and ships flight-qualified commercial off-the-shelf composite overwrapped pressure vessels (COPVs) for launch vehicles and satellites. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Munich Germany the company delivers COPVs from a standardized portfolio with flight heritage. The approach reduces lead time from months to days while ensuring that each tank is qualified and flight-ready. Blackwaves mission is to end COPV failure in spaceflight.
