Metallurgist Foundry (mfd)

What you can achieve:

• Support. Improve. Innovate. This is what you will do in our international sales team where your focus will be on providing technical support to our customers in the iron and steel foundry industry.
• You will work directly with customers on-site to develop solutions regarding thermal analysis process optimization melt treatment and magnesium/inoculation treatments.
• You will oversee all phases of customer projects ranging from defining requirements and conducting trials to commissioning equipment (e.g. wire treatment systems).
• To ensure optimal results you will analyze metallurgical issues at customer sites.
• Finally you will prepare technical presentations and conduct both internal and external training sessions and workshops.

What you bring to the role:

• A degree in Metallurgy Materials Science Foundry Technology Ferrous Metallurgy or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of thermal analysis cast iron metallurgy melt treatment process control and quality assurance.
• Experience with grey iron ductile iron (SGI) CGI and/or cast steel is highly desirable.
• Strong metallurgical understanding combined with analytical thinking skills.
• A high willingness to travel: 6080% of the time (domestic across Europe and occasionally worldwide).
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills.
• An independent goal-oriented responsible and structured approach to work combined with strong communication skills within an international team.
