Job Summary

High-performance MEMS gyroscopes are essential for modern applications ranging from consumer electronics to robotics. While initial calibration handles manufacturing tolerances environmental factors such as temperature changes mechanical stress and ageing can cause performance drift over time. To maintain long-term accuracy this project focuses on developing as well as validating efficient non-intrusive system identification methods.

  • Instead of relying on complex hardware modifications as part of your Master thesis you will explore innovative techniques for injecting test signals directly into the system in order to identify key parameters.
  • You will develop and evaluate innovative concepts for injecting test signals for in-field parameter identification.
  • In addition you will design and set up test scenarios to validate the developed methods.
  • Last but not least you will apply your system identification algorithms benchmark their performance quantitatively and assess their suitability for sensor platforms.
