Your Mission

Join Strykers Sports Medicine Research & Development team in Freiburg and contribute to innovative patient-specific solutions that support clinical decision-making in minimally invasive joint surgery. Through your masters thesis you will conduct research on image-basedtechnologies investigate innovative analysis methods and help advance future medical device solutions.

What Youll Do

  • Conduct independent research within the field of Sports Medicine and medical technology.

  • Work withthree-dimensional models and medical image data.

  • Investigate and implement innovative analysis methods.

  • Evaluate study results usingstatistical data analysisand compare findings with scientific literature.

  • Support the advancement of image-based enabling technologies.

  • Develop and automateanalysisworkflows using scripting tools.

  • Contribute research findings that support future product development activities.

What Youll Bring

  • Academic Pursuit: You are currently pursuing a biomedical engineering or a related engineering degree and are actively seeking a masters thesis project for a 6-month duration.

  • Technical Drive: Your passion lies in expanding your technicalexpertise particularly in areas such as3D image analysissegmentationscripting/programming anddata/statistical analysis.

  • Software Savvy: You eagerly apply yourproficiencyin software applications (e.g.3-Matic Medical) and scripting applications (e.g.Python) to obtain results.

  • Clinical Insight: Ideally youpossessa solid grasp ofclinical conceptsand have prior research experience enabling you to work independently.

  • Effective Communication: Your strong spoken and written English skills(minimum B2)empower you to confidently engage in our international environment and successfully complete your masters thesis in scientific English.
