Marketplace Data Analyst (mfd)

About the role: 

As our Marketplace Data Analyst you will turn complex data into insights that directly shape how our Marketplace business grows across multiple European countries. You will have the opportunity to build scalable analytics and forecasting approaches establish standards that are used across markets and bring clear decision-ready insights to senior commercial stakeholders. 

Working at the intersection of Marketplace Data Finance and other commercial teams you will have both the ownership and visibility to make analytics a real driver of strategic and commercial decisions. 

About the tech stack: 

You will work with a modern analytics environment including Python SQL R Power BI and Databricks alongside DBT ETL processes and data pipelines. You will also collaborate closely with our Data and BI teams on the evolution of our data architecture analytical tooling and reporting platforms. 

About your tasks: 

• Take ownership of standardized dashboards KPI logic and advanced analytics creating scalable reporting standards that enable Marketplace teams across countries to make faster and more consistent decisions. 

• Explore complex commercial and customer questions through predictive modelling segmentation trend and cohort analysis turning your findings into clear opportunities and decision options for the business. 

• Shape forecasting scenario modelling and business cases ensuring that assumptions are evidence-based and aligned across Marketplace Controlling Marketing and Category Management. 

• Partner with Data/BI and Finance to evolve analytical toolsets automate reporting and improve the scalability speed and integrity of our data landscape. 

• Bring data into conversations with Marketplace Country Heads Commercial Leadership and other senior stakeholders translating complexity into insights that support performance steering and strategic decisions. 

Qualifications :

About you: 

• You bring 25 years of relevant experience in data analytics data science or commercial planning within a complex business environment including hands-on experience with forecasting advanced analytics and business case development. 

• You have strong hands-on experience with Python and advanced proficiency with analytical tools such as SQL R and Power BI as well as experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks. 

• You understand data pipelines ETL processes DBT and data architecture principles and care about creating accurate consistent and scalable analytics rather than simply producing reports. 

• You are comfortable translating complex analyses into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders in an international environment. Fluent English is required; German is a nice to have.
