Mandatory Internship in State of Health Aware Bidirectional Charging Algorithm Development

• During your internship you will get acquainted with the topic of State of Health (SOH)-aware Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) charging. This involves optimizing battery charging/discharging costs while considering battery ageing.
• You will design and develop an embedded-capable algorithm for optimizing battery charging based on SOH models. This includes creating a simplified State of Health model as well as implementing optimization strategies.
• In addition you will build a simulation environment in MATLAB/Simulink to test and validate your algorithm.
• Furthermore you will document your work including the developed algorithms simulation results and findings.
• Last but not least you will actively participate in team discussions and present your progress regularly.

Qualifications :

• Education: studies in the field of Mechatronics Electrical Engineering Control Engineering Computer Science or comparable
• Experience and Knowledge: good understanding of control engineering concepts and practices; strong mathematical background; experience in programming ideally with MATLAB/Simulink
• Personality and Working Practice: you are a motivated proactive team player with conceptual thinking skills the ability to express ideas clearly and the capacity to work independently as well as in a structured manner
• Work Routine: your on-site presence is required
• Languages: business fluent in English or German

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 6 months (confirmation of mandatory internship required)
