JOB SUMMARY
The Manager Production leads the daily operations of manufacturing by managing schedules resources and staff to meet production targets. This role ensures adherence to QSR standards drives continuous improvement initiatives and supports cross-functional collaboration for efficient and compliant product delivery and operational excellence.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
In accordance with all applicable federal state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson procedures and guidelines this position:
- Lead coach and develop production teams to achieve safety quality delivery cost and inventory objectives while fostering a culture of accountability engagement and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all quality regulatory health safety environmental (HSE) and company requirements including FDA QSR ISO standards GMP/GDP and applicable policies and procedures while maintaining audit readiness and accurate documentation.
- Own and improve operational performance through KPI management production execution capacity planning inventory control and business continuity planning.
- Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies to enhance productivity efficiency quality and cost performance.
- Manage staffing equipment materials and budgets to meet operational and customer delivery commitments.
- Partner with Quality Engineering Supply Chain and other cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence process improvements and successful implementation of new products equipment and technologies.
- Communicate performance risks and improvement opportunities to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Bachelors degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
- 6 years of manufacturing experience preferably in a medical device and/or cleanroom environment.
- Demonstrated leadership or people management experience preferred
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS
- Strong leadership team-building communication and decision-making skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge of FDA QSR ISO standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Proven critical thinking problem-solving and ability to drive results through sound judgment and data-driven decision-making.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma Kaizen and continuous improvement methodologies; Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; SAP experience preferred.
