Manager, International TV Distribution, Amazon MGM Studios Distribution
Job Summary
We are seeking a Manager Intl. TV Distribution to join our new team in Munich supporting international TV distribution across German-speaking Europe (Germany Austria Switzerland) and Central & Eastern Europe (CEE). Reporting to the Senior Manager Intl. TV Distribution this role will support television licensing across the region working in close collaboration with the wider AMSD team.
Key job responsibilities
- Support television licensing across German-speaking Europe and CEE making recommendations to AMSD leadership regarding the distribution of Amazon MGM Studios original productions Amazon Local Original Productions and MGMs renowned film and television catalogue.
- Conduct market research and financial analysis to identify and evaluate licensing opportunities and support deal activity with clients across the region including deal documentation submissions and helping with client presentations.
- Contribute to the implementation of AMSDs territory plan and vision for German-speaking Europe and CEE working in close alignment with the London team.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with a portfolio of clients and internal stakeholders across German-speaking Europe and CEE.
- Support the planning and coordination of client screenings and market events (e.g. MIPCOM LA Screenings) for the region.
- Identify and lead process improvements across team tools workflows and shared resources.
- Support the development of junior team members and participate in recruitment activities as needed.
About the team
- Previous professional experience in content distribution sales or a related field with a focus on German-speaking markets and/or Central Eastern Europe (CEE)
- Experience supporting content licensing deals
- Understanding of the television landscape and market dynamics in German-speaking Europe and/or CEE
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) at CEFR C1/C2
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
- Experience with content licensing deal structures and territory strategy specific to German-speaking Europe and/or CEE
- Experience managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships across multiple countries
- Fluent in German and/or a Central or Eastern European language (e.g. Polish Czech or Hungarian) at CEFR C1 or equivalent
