Legal Counsel (mfd)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic business-oriented legal advice to the local sales organization across commercial regulatory and compliance matters
• Draft review and negotiate commercial agreements (e.g. distribution service capital equipment pricing and tender contracts)
• Ensure alignment with applicable healthcare compliance standards including anti-corruption laws competition law and industry codes (e.g. MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice MTE Code)
• Support public procurement activities including tender reviews bid strategy input and contract risk assessment
• Advise on marketing promotional and medical education activities in compliance with applicable legal frameworks (e.g. Heilmittelwerbegesetz HWG)
• Collaborate with regional and global legal teams to ensure consistent implementation of policies and risk mitigation strategies
• Deliver legal trainings and enable business stakeholders to operate within a defined compliance framework while supporting commercial objectives

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Fully qualified lawyer with solid experience in commercial and regulatory law ideally within the medical device or healthcare sector
• Strong understanding of healthcare compliance frameworks including anti-corruption competition law and data protection (General Data Protection Regulation GDPR)
• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements in a fast-paced sales-driven environment
• Ability to translate legal risks into clear pragmatic and actionable guidance for business stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively across functions and levels

Fluent in German and English both written and spoken
