Lead Engineer Embedded Software (mwd)

The Job:

• Lead a team of 6 engineers in developing and implementing complex embedded software solutions focusing on SFOC projects for motor controls in power tools.

• Work closely with the Chief Engineer for Embedded Software and other software teams across design centers to enhance platforming initiatives and drive innovation.

• Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously including estimating monitoring and ensuring timely delivery of software development tasks.

• Provide technical guidance to team members and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to develop highly complex systems.

• Evaluate and implement secure coding practices and approve design reviews to ensure software quality.

• Develop and execute product and technology strategies to promote advanced technologies and processes contributing to the companys mission and goals.

• Plan resources develop personnel and proactively manage employee health and safety.

About You:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Electrical Engineering or a related field; Masters degree preferred.

• At least 10 years of experience in Embedded Software development with deep knowledge of SFOC implementation in power tools and proven experience leading teams focused on SFOC projects.

• Advanced proficiency in C/C and experience with Git.

• Experience with Jira APIs and errata sheets.

• Skills in troubleshooting applying object-oriented design principles and a proven track record of fostering innovation and continuous improvement in a technical environment.

• Knowledge of motor control particularly Sensorless Field Oriented Control and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to support platforming initiatives.

• Ensure the delivery of secure high-quality software.
